For sleeping on the ground in a tent, this is really comfortable. And I’m not in my 20’s (or 30’s…. or 40’s….) anymore. I was pretty surprised at the support it gives. I didn’t inflate it all the way, but if you like a firmer bed, you could. It takes me forever to inflate though. I think it goes faster with your hands, but as a nurse, I can’t help but sing (in my head) Staying Alive like I’m giving CPR to it.Comfortable, but noisy. This air mattress does inflate by pumping with your foot. However, its not nearly thick enough. It also make a ton of noise (crinkle, crinkle) all night long. I use it as a dog bed, and my 90 lb lab mix loves it. But didn't work for me.The target for this product is almost certainly people who are trying to keep their gear pretty light, but just can't do without some sort of cushioned pad under them to sleep. It is not the most comfortable air mattress I've ever laid down on, but since I don't need a pump, it's one of the easiest I've ever carried anywhere. The thing's got a plug at each end. When in use, both are closed. At one end, a quick deflate plug. Not very exciting until you want to pack up and get moving. At the other end, the plug covers a one-way valve flap that works sort of okayish. Open it up and a little pillow-shaped bit will inflate. Squish it with hands or feet or whatever you want and it'll put (most of) the air in the pillow pump into the rest of the sleeping pad. The one-way valve flap is okay, but only just okay, I recommend trying to more or less cover the hole when squishing the air out of the pump and into the rest of the pad. If you're reasonably focused on it, it takes just a couple of minutes. When it's time to pack up, open the deflate plug but keep the inflate plug closed and just push the air out of it. Packs very small and pretty light.Only downside? If you have access to a pump, you might prefer to use one. Not happening with this pad as shipped. Would've totally been five star if there was something in the box for that.Don’t expect too much from this sleeping pad and you’ll be fine. Yes its 5 inches and stays nicely firm, almost too firm. It doesn’t have much give once inflated and it can be a bit noisy, but you won’t wake up on the ground. For most people who are hiking and want to minimize what they take, they will like this as its lightweight and does not require a pump to inflate.Wow! This air mattress is super easy to inflate, deflate, roll up, and re-store in the bag. I love that there isn’t a separate pump required, it is built in. We took this camping and it fit the bill, was relatively comfortable to sleep on. We found that the mattresses that have a Zigzag/chevron type air pockets seem to be more comfortable than this type; I think they just distribute the air better without being too firm. This mattress is comfortable enough though, and is also good to use for a brief houseguest stay. Takes up hardly any room to store.I’m rating this a 4 star overall. After my new Moon Lence camp cot decided to catastrophically collapse (in slow motion) I had to switch to Plan “B”, my new KKUP2U Extra Thickness 5 Inch Sleeping Pad for Camping.Since I’ve had several of these with the built-in pump, I decided to speed up the fill by using my rechargeable mini-pump with light rather than the foot pump this comes with. I’m sure the included foot pump works and when I do use them, rather than standing and pressing down with my foot, I prefer to sit and use my hands to squeeze the pump. It just seems easier to me.There are two valves. One for filling and has what I think is called a Boston valve. It is a simple one-way valve suitable for inflatables of many types. At the other end is a simple plug “valve” which when opened releases all the pressure immediately. So its a quick deflation valve. This air mattress pad was wide enough and long enough and it kept me off the ground. If you have too much air in it, then it may feel like you are bouncing around a bit. Also, if you are on any sort of slope, like I was, then you may end up sliding off a bit toward the bottom. Fill about 80% full, try to resist filling it 100%. Note to self: follow your own #@%& advice! Haha!Bottom line: this is an excellent inflatable sleeping sleeping pad. I only used it a few nights. It held the air pressure and deflated with ease. I quickly folded and rolled it and got it back into its small stuff sack. This is an excellent choice for a sleeping pad and comes with its own pump.Highly recommended and would buy it again.5 STARS!UPDATE 9/21/22After using this off and on this summer, I felt like this was a reliable air mattress. This last week we camped out at our local nearby lake and I used this along with a cot. It slowly leaks air over the course of the week and I had to add some air one time. It could have been worse I suppose. A plastic ring thing which fit over one of the openings came off unexpectedly also. But that was not a big issue. I think this is just an average grade air mattress, nothing special and only merits three stars.Husband and I are embarking on our first tent-camping tent in September and we both agreed we are way to old and crotchety to sleep directly on the ground. These seemed like a viable alternative to sleeping on said ground, and they didn't require any form of electricity to inflate. I decided to open one in my living room and test it out. The inflation procedure isn't the easiest and it takes forever. I ended up on my knees almost like I was giving CPR to the mattress and that produced the fastest results. I grabbed a pillow and laid down to test it's comfort...and ended up taking a two-hour nap (I was in my front living room and the curtains were open, it scared the crap out of my mailman), so clearly they're comfortable. Tent-camping seems like it'll work out.
