The dress was pretty but the neck part was really big fell of my shoulders big time. Bad fit.I ordered up 2 sizes because formals usually run small and having beading and sequins makes it even more so. Not the case with this dress. It was too big through my shoulders and a little long and just made some 'adjustments" to make it ft better. Now I know. I absolutely loved it!Beautiful and comfortable not always a common occurance, but this dress is definitely the one.GREAT FOR MY GRANDDAUGHTERS WEDDINGWore this as a mother of the bride dress. Fit as expected. I am 5' 7" talk and length was perfect. It was a 60 degree day, perfect weight. Even with dancing, very comfortable. Not itchy.I did have to buy some dress tape to keep the shoulders up, as they wanted to slip.FYI. I ordered 4 dresses through Amazon Prime Wardrobe. What a great program. Returned other 3, with no return postage or charges. So much nicer to try on- in comfort of your own home.Not at all heavy as I worried it might be. So pretty and very comfortable! I love it. Also ordered it in gray so we will see which I choose to keep, wine or gray! I usually wear a Medium so I ordered an 8 petite. I am 5’2” and the length is perfect. The bodice is snug, not tight but as expected since I often wear 8 or 10 in dresses.I did not like the fit of this dress. Very frumpy looking on.I live the material but I am short and not so thin - this is not a flattering dress for my body typeThis dress has a zipper at the back but you don't need to zip it and risk catching the material, the dress is roomy and pops on over the head. It's a relaxed fit and a good style if you're slim-hipped but need some ease in the top. I'm 5'7" and wore a 6.4 cm heel, so the length was fine without hemming. After delivery (it came folded in a bag) the skirt needed a little pressing. But the fabric doesn't crease much and the dress travels well. It shed a few sequins in a day of wear at a lively wedding, but not that it was noticeable. The sequins are sewn on and extras are provided. Cleaning instructions are to dry clean. I risked washing it since my LG washing machine (with no agitator) has a very gentle delicate cycle. I folded the dress so that the sequin top was inside the skirt, placed it in a large zip lingerie laundry bag, and washed it on the delicate setting with cold water using a mild liquid soap. It washed beautifully and hung to dry without creases. This is for information only, I'm not recommending you take the chance and wash an embellished dress yourself, but it worked for me.I love J Kara dresses but this one for some reason didn't fit like the others across my shoulders so had to send back. However, it is a lovely dress, well made and very sparkly! Order your true size!
