This is my second Calvin Klein puffer coat, so I can compare them. They look almost identical. I purchased this one as the first was in a repair shop, having the zipper replaced and it was really cold! (The first jacket was purchased 2 years ago.) This one is more lightweight, thinner, great lines, beautiful granite shimmery color, good fit. BUT...the the tiny feathers come out and stick to my clothing and it has no inner pockets. The other more expensive Calvin Klein (almost identical cut) has about twice the filling, has inner pockets and doesn't shed feathers or down. That said, this new granite color one is a great coat for the price and I'm sure I'll get tons of wear out of it.I love this coat! It has a flattering fit. Sleeves are generally short on me but not with this coat, they fit perfect. This coat is exactly what I was looking for! A light weight winter coat that keeps me warm when outside but I don’t sweat in once inside. This coat does exactly that. I live in the Midwest so we get frigid temps, sleet and snow. We had temps in the 20’s and 10 inches of snow yesterday and I was warm and dry! When I ran into numerous stores I was completely comfortable. I was out side while it was snowing and I didn’t feel as the wetness was absorbing into the material at all. What I love the most and have been looking for in a coat is the collar. There isn’t a big bulky roll at the neck inside the coat, so it doesn’t mess up my hair by putting bends and creases in it. It has a drawstring to keep the hat in place when needed. It has 2 deep pockets that zip. My only concern is the weight of the zipper and that it doesn’t have a dual zipper at the bottom when you sit. For this reason I ordered 4 additional coats from different makers to compare and hands down this jacket was the best!!** Update: This coat still does not disappoint! Zipper still works well. I have tried to purchase a heavier down coat because this coat isn’t rated for below zero. I purchased 4 down coats ( London fog, Michael Kors, Liz Claiborne and Columbia Omni heat) during an unseasonal cold snap in the Midwest. Wind gusts -10 and all of these failed. Within 5 minutes I was cold through my arms, back and my ungloved hands in the pockets. I came back in and put on this Calvin Klein coat and went back outside and after 5 minutes I was still warm, my hands were still warm in the pockets without gloves on. All were returned except this coat. I do get a very fine feather every now and then but it’s slight. The company states this in their description of this coat and states to not pull them out but to poke them back in.Ordered this in an XL. I was looking for an extremely lightweight mid length puffy to pack on trips in the event of a change in weather. It arrived as scheduled from Amazon (helps to live about 5 miles from a distribution center) I also ordered this companion one that has the hood. I chose to keep the NO hood because I already have too many long coats with hoods for cold weather and sent back this hooded one. Although it is just as nice and lightweight. I am a 38C up top and a 12/14 below. I am short at 5'4" and I tend to like things fitted but not snug. This coat fits the bill. Pros: very lightweight and fits looser than I expected. nice looking. I like the diagonal lines of the quilting. Cons: Zippers are low quality. very low quality. How much can YKK zippers really cost? I anticipate swapping them out soon. NO zippers on the pockets and NO inside pockets. The wrists have no elastic so there is a draft if that is a concern. I sincerely doubt it would keep me warm at 32 degrees but it might if I were moving around a lot. Overall, it is exactly what I was looking for in a packable lightweight somewhat attractive good looking black down puffy mid length coat. Perfect for plane, train and automobile rides because I tend to get chilled sitting still.This is a very stylish coat, however the only reason for the 4 star and not a 5 is because the coat sheds feathers pretty bad, as some other reviewers mentioned. For the price, the coat should not be shedding so much. Also, the right pocket ripped on the inside after only one week. I sometimes put my keys in my pocket briefly, but didn't expect the lining of the pocket to be so thin.These coats seem to be cut small. I normally wear a large. I ordered the 2x. Fits beautifully, with just enough room for layering underneath. However, layers are not necessary. This coat is very warm, acts like a windbreaker too. And very lightweight! And no matter how long I leave it crumpled up in the back seat of my car, it never wrinkles. Best winter coat I've ever owned!Love this coat! I live in Chicago and frequently travel to warmer climates in the winter. I hate lugging a bulky coat around but am too much of a wimp to deal with not wearing a coat in below freezing weather. This coat is a great solution - warm enough but without the bulk. It’s also great for when I have to walk around Chicago in the cold and then spend a lot of time inside. I just pack the cot into its bag and and not weighed down by it when inside. It is not the coat I wear when the temps fall below 15 or 20 degrees; that’s when I do pull out the heavy down. I wish I could rate it at 4.5 stars. The only things keeping it from a 5 star rating from me are: 1) the way too large hood others have commented on. I was able to fix this by adding some Velcro at the base of the hood and the top of the back of the coat, basically holding the hood back a bit to make it the right size. You can’t tell I adjusted it, but it did take a little work and creativity on my part. 2) I was able to create two nice, big inside pockets by adding Velcro to the bottom of the inside pouches. Why couldn’t the manufacturer do this for me? 3) I wish the zipper was a two way, able to zip up from the bottom. The length of the coat is awesome at just above the knee on me (I’m 5’ 3”). A two way zipper would be great for sitting. 4) The string on the bag is just the right size without any extra room. Had they made it longer, it would be easier to get the coat in and out of the bag. Not a big deal, but a longer string would be a good enhancement. All 4 of these complains are relatively minor as the coat met my biggest needs. Hopefully the manufacturer will consider these enhancements to make this coat 5 star worthy.colour darker than I thought and a wee bit too long. I normally wear 1x and 2x in clothes, and I'm 5'10. I ordered the 2x jacket thinking if I wear layers I'll have room. The 2x came the next day and it was huge!!! Way too big. So I returned the 2x and got the 1x and it's still pretty roomy. Very light weight, I love the jacket. There's still plenty of room if I wanted to wear a hoodie under. Wish there was an 0x because I think that would be better but overall I'm happy. If you are thinking about size get your usually size. I'm a tall girl and this fits great.This is my 2nd coat of the same style and size by Calvin Klein. My first one , in black, was from a The Bay and has an entirely down fill, fits a little larger and was $20 more than my new,"Deal of the Day" coat. My Amazon purchase not only fit smaller but has POLYESTER AND DOWN fill. It is advertised as a Down coat and this very misleading. My all down coat is warmer that this Amazon purchase of poly/down filled one.
